FAQs

Here you will find the answers to most questions about NaboGO.

Usually NaboGO encourages users to travel in the largest-possible groups. However, during the current corona pandemic, we’re following the authorities’ recommendations and we’ve established restrictions on the platform. That means that currently no more than three people should travel in the same car. We also urge you to stick to the same group of travellers as far as possible.

A meeting point is a pre-defined digital stop, which makes organising everyday travel incredibly easy. The pick-up points mean that users know exactly where to meet up. The goal of NaboGO and Denmark’s municipalities is to position the meeting points in locations where picking up passengers is most convenient. When a user creates a journey, the point of origin and destination will automatically be registered as a meeting point.

NaboGO doesn’t have meeting points everywhere in Denmark because, generally speaking, we only have them in municipalities that have entered into a cooperation agreement with NaboGO (see the ‘Partnerships’ page). We believe it will require a wholehearted effort on the part of NaboGO, municipalities and companies to change their everyday transport habits. That’s why, when it comes to a launch, the location of the meeting points and the actual job of communication require a major effort from everyone involved.

If you believe there should be a meeting point near your home or place of work, you can write to NaboGO. We’ll be happy to create that meeting point for you. This also applies to municipalities in which there’s no NaboGO agreement. Do you need a meeting point near you? Write to us here >

Yes. You can cancel your scheduled lift without being charged a fee. However, we encourage both passengers and drivers, as far as possible, to cancel with as much advance notice as possible.

As a driver, you can cancel your journey at any time, whether or not you have an agreement. There’s no charge.

If you’ve merely offered a lift, but don’t have an agreement, you can delete or adjust this offer of a lift under the ‘Lift Offers’ tab under the ‘My Activities’ tab.

If you’ve received and approved a request from a passenger, you can cancel or adjust the time of the lift under the ‘Agreements’ tab under ‘My Activities’. To reduce the inconvenience to the passenger as much as possible, such changes should only occur when absolutely necessary, and should be made with as much advance notice as possible.

If a driver has to cancel, NaboGO refers the passenger to other available options: for example, public transport and municipal ‘flextrafik’, both of which also feature on the NaboGO platform.

As a driver, you can always write a joint message to your passengers. You can find the relevant message feature in ‘Agreements’ under ‘My Activities’.

No. NaboGO has established a kilometre rate, ensuring that you cannot earn money by offering lifts, since the cost of driving in your own car exceeds the income. That means that, in accordance with the current tax regulations, it can be classified as ridesharing.

NaboGO pays out the money about once a week. So it may take a few days from the completion of an agreement before you are paid. If you have any questions, or if you have an outstanding payment, feel free to write to us at support@nabogo.com.

Both the driver and the passenger must start the process by clicking ‘Start trip – go to route’, which can be found in ‘Agreement Details’. This will show the other party’s location, and it will then be possible to follow the car as it approaches the agreed meeting point.

Completing a commuter profile will free you from just about all everyday coordination. This means that details of meeting point, pick-up time, etc. will automatically be agreed upon via the app. Any discussions regarding coordination using the message feature shouldn’t be necessary. Settlement of accounts is also fixed and takes place automatically via the platform. Of course, you can adjust your commuter profile at any time: for example, delete fixed days or adjust times.

The price is calculated automatically on the basis of a fixed kilometre rate. The kilometre rate is DKK 1 per kilometre for kilometres 1-10, DKK 0.75 per kilometre for kilometres 11-20, and DKK 0.5 per kilometre for more than 20 kilometres.

The driver receives the full amount the passenger is charged, minus a small payment fee, which NaboGO charges to cover the bank transaction.

NaboGO isn’t in possession of your credit card information. It is stored by Quickpay – one of the most widely-used and secure providers of online payment.

You can delete your account in ‘Settings’ under the menu in the top right-hand corner. If you delete your account, all agreements will be cancelled.

Users of NaboGO’s platform must be 16 years of age or above, and drives must be 18 years of age or above.

“I think ridesharing is super cool and have tried it on longer distances several times. I like talking to people that I would not normally be in contact with. The opportunity to gain new knowledge about how others live, work and view the world is valuable.”

Mette

Passenger

“I think ridesharing is a good idea, rather than everyone driving around in half-empty cars. I have created a profile because I drive some long distances and would like to have some company on the way. So, it is both from an environmental point of view, but also from a practical point of view.”

Berit

Driver

“I drive here every day as a driver, so if it is easy and convenient to use, I would like to help others get to work and even earn a little extra for the gas.”

Amalie

Driver

”I’m not sure if I’m going to use it or not, because I love being independent. On the other hand, I hate all those cars on the roads, so I think it would be great if more people drove together. If I can use it without having to bother with a whole lot, then it will be perfect for me.”
